An AI teammate that never loses the thread

Merton lives in your team's Slack, connects your docs and tools, and turns project conversation into durable state — tasks, decisions, blockers, and handoffs.

Slack-native

Merton works inside your project channels. Mention it, or let it follow the thread — it turns conversation into tasks, blockers, decisions, and handoffs.

A living dashboard

Every project gets an overview of tasks, timeline, urgent work, artifacts, and a knowledge graph of who is doing what — kept current without status meetings.

Durable memory

Decisions, claims, and contradictions are tracked over time with attribution, so context survives handoffs, offboarding, and long-running work.

The research behind Merton

Merton is the system behind Bruno, Prototype II of Prototyping Intelligent Organizations — our study of organizations coordinated by intelligent machines, which began with Giuseppe, an AI foreman that led a human team to an Ars Electronica submission.

Bruno, an AI product manager for scientists, was presented as an oral at the ICML 2026 AI4Science Workshop, with an evaluation roadmap built around a pilot in a graduate computational biology course.
